Delete it from inside the app
- 1Open Spark and sign in.
- 2Tap the Me tab (bottom right).
- 3Scroll to the bottom and tap Delete account.
- 4Confirm. The account is gone immediately — there is no grace period and no undo.
If you have already uninstalled the app
Email hello@sparked.love from the address you signed in with, asking us to delete your account. We use the sending address only to find the account and to confirm the request is yours.
Deletions are completed within 30 days, and normally within a few days. You will get a reply confirming it is done.
What is deleted
Everything we hold about you, permanently:
- Your profile: name, photos, bio, prompts, tags, languages, city and approximate location, and every preference you set.
- Your matches, likes, passes and the messages you sent, along with reactions and read receipts.
- Plans you hosted and every RSVP you made.
- Your credit balance and its ledger, and anything Hitch drafted for you.
- Verifications, notifications, saved push tokens and your recorded consent to these documents.
Deletion also removes your Spark sign-in itself. It does not touch your Google account — Spark never had your Google password, and you can revoke its access at any time in your Google account’s security settings.
What is kept, and for how long
Nothing is kept in the live service: every record above is erased at the moment you delete, not queued or anonymised.
Two narrow exceptions, both standard. Messages you sent stay visible to the person you sent them to, because their copy of a conversation is their data, not yours. And encrypted database backups keep a copy until they rotate out on their normal schedule; those backups exist for disaster recovery and are never used to bring a deleted account back.
